This year was Sofie’s second birthday and we did the Two the Moon theme! Not only does Sofie love talking about space and rocket ships, but she loves saying “I love to moon and back” and she loves the little game we play where we blast off and “rocket to the moon” so it seemed like the perfect theme. I wanted to make it a cute and girly space theme though so we went for the coral, peach, and lilac color palette. And it all came together so perfectly! As always, I used a bunch of my favorite small shops to get the goodies. At the very last minute, I found the cutest little activity/favor for the party guests which were these little Rocket Ship ceramic night lights in the dollar section at Target. Not only do they have a little battery and light up, but the girls had so much fun painting them and they stayed occupied the entire time the birthday girl was opening gifts. This was our first real party due to covid and it was so much to see everyone around laughing and enjoying the party. I also had a ton of fun making this cute little rocket ship themed cheese tray for snacks for the kiddos and we went with Sofie’s favorite cream cheese and jam sandwiches in the shape of moons and stars.
